Outside financing, in my opinion is an important tool for dentistry . Care credit for instance does a great job and I really appreciate the reports. I use the reports to see which patients have applied for Care Credit and how much money they have available. This often gives leverage when scheduling treatment plans. This is also very helpful in combination with end of year letters for remaining unused insurance. With this being said, I do not let insurance dictate treatment however, patients often do, so in my opinion this is a good way to get them the treatment they need with utilization of benefits and financing they can afford.
